Hi Folks, Now I have a funny (queer) one,
I want to stiffen my suspension, without lowering it if at all possible.
I've been looking for the spring ratings so I could potentially source some of same dimensions but higher strength.
Am I right in thinking the Allroad wasn't produced back in 2003? Because I cant find any parts for a 2003 allroad (my assumption were that the sus for the 3.0 would be stiffer than for my 1.9tdi)
has anyone else tried the same thing? How did it go?
    Any Advice?

VW offer uprated springs which are usually 20-mm higher. Firstly you need to identify if your cat has 1BA or 1BE suspension and then using the parts system and the colour codes off of your springs you can work out what you have. using this information you can then look at the weight groups and choose a higher rating. There are literally dozens and dozens of springs to choose from and it is easy to mess it up.

There is no link I know of. I have done this for a surprising number of people in the workshop with a wide variety of VAG cars and I work each one out individually. I have tried to help a few tinterweb people and have worked out exactly what they need only for them to get all interwebby price clever and bugger it all up by ordering stuff that is from an application list and invariably these are a compromise or wrong.
