Passenger Door will not unlock with Remote

Any ideas?, my passenger door on my 59 plate A6 Avant will not unlock via the remote key fob or by the unlocking button on the drivers door. The only way that the door can be unlocked is by using the lever on the inside of the passengers door. I have tried changing the setting on the MMI, but this makes no difference. The door locks fine via the key fob and automatically once you start moving. It is beginning to annoy me now!!
Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

You'll probably find you need a new door lock/catch.

A fault scan should confirm this but in the meantime check the wiring is secure on the grommet which runs between the body and door.

And the scary bit is, there are four doors
