Radio switching to media

I have a strange problem that started after I changed the boot lid rear light on my A6 C6 Avant 2.7. When I start off the radio is on but after two or three minutes, I haven't timed it accurately, it switches - all on its own - to the CD player. Any idea what might be the cause?

sticky button on the control panel? have you had the car scanned for faults?

The button isn't sticking. I have VCDS so I shall scan the car at the weekend. I asked in case someone could give me a clue, which in a way you have, so thanks.

What you said made me think though. Maybe something has got down the side of the button. I will have a look. The strange thing though is that it does it after about the same amount of time, When I switch it back to radio it doesn't do it again.
