depends how the gasket has failed. just drain the rad, flush it and see what happens then.

You might be better off to flush the engine and reverse flush the rad

High mileage? Zollaf's Audi 80 has over 300k miles, should be run in soon

For £650 I reckon I have got a decent car - looks like the previous owner neglected it a little which is a shame as the original owner has documented everything up until 158,000 miles. I even have original receipt for it!

321,000 actually. at 305 i rebuilt the engine and found no wear at all. the bores had the honing marks still and no lip, just glazed to budgery. a bit of glaze busting and new rings and shells and new tappets made it as good as it already was.

I don't know about the UK but in Ireland the Audi 80 is getting expensive. You wouldn't get much for under 2k
