b7 sline quattro

hi all,im going to look at a 2005 1.8t sline 163.

problem is hes saying its not a 4x4 quattro but all checks ive done insurance says its a quattro.hes adament its not,im awaiting some pics.

hes miles away so dont really want to waste my time travelling,is there a definate way to tell?

not sure if they did s-line in fwd?

are all quattros 6 speed or 5?

any help on this be great.

if its been removed,easy pricey to put back? or stay away?

Ask for all the PR codes for the car. They list all options, gearbox etc. etc. Then google VW PR codes and check what the quattro code is, then check to see if its on his PR sticker (fitted in boot floor area and in servicebook).

Engine code is coming back as a quattro (BFB) unless I'm reading the internet wrong.

im not sure whats what tbh,ive never owned a audi before,so all new to me. it comes up on 3 insurance quotes quattro aswel.

Ask seller for a photo of the Sticker in the front of the service book. And if you`re cheeky enough....a photo under car of rear axle area.
