I need to disconnect my battery.
Will I lose anything and will I need to recode anything when I reconnect the battery?

    Thanks.

One touch of what for windows Chris?
    Is it really that simple?

I thought that I would lose all of my vcds setting like needle sweep etc.

Yes the one touch for the windows, time and date is all you'll lose. Nothing else.

That's no problem as I don't use it, but thanks.

Hi Roy, your traction control light may come on as well... But after driving the car a few meters it'll come back off! Might be a good idea to clear out the fault codes when all is connected back up 👍

    Thank you all.
Disconnecting the battery is going to be less of a trauma than I at first imagined.

@Chris, I'm also going to disconnect battery to replace it tomorrow. So for clarity, what does "One touch for the windows, time and date." mean?
Does it mean they have to be reset with VCDS or can they be reset from the MMI after the battery is connected back up?

Comfort function for the windows. Just press and hold each window switch on your drivers door for 5-10 seconds and the car will relearn the bottom and top of the window.
