I've used the recommended Castrol Edge 5W/30 oil for services but I have now seen a 5W/40 (Titanium?) oil by Castrol made specially for Turbo diesel engines? I do on average about 25/30k a year and wondered if this is OK to use in my 2009 1.6 TDI blue motion.

Keep to the recommended. You can also use Quantum LL 2 as its the same oil as Edge 5w/30, cheaper too.
