    Hi there,


    I bought a car tracker (Mini TK102) - New Mini TK102 Real-Time Magnetic GPS Car Vehicle Tracker Hidden Tracking Device | eBay


    and a charger Hard-wired Car Charger USB connector For GPS GSM Tracker TK102A TK103A TK103B UK | eBay


    Where would be the best place to install into vw passat b5 , year 2000 ? As I need to connect cables together with + and - any suggestions?

    The problem isn't so much getting a + and - it would be finding somewhere hidden to fit the tracking unit where it will get a clear view of the sky. It might not get a satellite signal if it's under the dash.
    Do you have a power socket in the boot? Maybe mount the box under the shelf at the rear screen and charger behind the O/S boot trim.

    Thanks for reply.
    I am thinking to put into glove box and wire cable to lighter socket (located next to gear box switch) what do you think ? If I will put next to the engine or somewhere deeper I won't be able to get signal.. but somewhere under dash or something it will be better as it's covered by plastic ?

    Shall I put fuse on wiring cable ?

    Yes, near where you connect the power supply wire to the vehicle wiring.
