ok so i have a few concerns.

My car takes about 20mins of driving to get upto temp, when i say upto temp i mean 70-80deg, i only see it at 90deg when im constantly driving on the motorway.

All the vents blow hot air as they should except for the foot vents! even when i direct all air to blow through the foot vents i seems considerably cooler,
it will only blow luke warm air when i manage to get the car upto 90deg, if the car doesn't reach 90deg im left with feet like ice blocks.

Ive noticed all this over the past couple of days since the temps are hitting freezing outside.

i have the supplement heater set to auto.

i assume deleting the egr will have an effect vehicle temps? could this be the cause? i cant see how, as its just the foot vents that are the issue and not all the vents.

the car has no error codes.

could it possibly be the engine thermostat at fault?

It lives on the Passenger side of the engine before the oil cooler.

There should two bolts holding a pipe connection on to the block at the front (timing belt end).

    Near the alternator.

Before i think about changing the thermostat im going to reinstall the EGR.

The reason i am going to do this is because since i blocked the egr pipe at both sides (from exhaust manifold outlet and inlet manifold intake) my car has struggled to reach 90deg, and also since blocking the EGR the engine fan has been coming on alot, i actually think its coming on while im driving which is making me think this maybe the cause of the car never really reaching it optimal operating temperature.

id like to ask if anybody else has deleted/blocked the EGR on the CAHA Engine that has come across such an issue?

ive read up that the EGR actually act as a cooler for engine temps, and removing it actually increases combustion temperatures, (More fresh air/oxygen=higher temps).
This makes sense to me as removing/blocking the EGR instantly made my engine fan come on alot more, im assuming it must be coming on a certain times while driving too result in the car not being able to reach 90deg, it also stays on for around 7-8mins after the engine has been switched off.
Before when the EGR was enabled i would never get the engine fan coming on when engine was switched off, and engine temp would reach 90deg and sit there.

i will re-enable the EGR and see if it sorts my problem.
