My new A6 is due for build in March so while I can still tweak the spec I wanted to ask some advice.

    Spec on order is
    2.0TDi Avant S-tronic Black edition
    Ibis white
    Pana roof
    Tech pack
    Parking pack
    Super sports seats
    Rear side airbags

I'm toying with upgrading to advanced parking. Don't want the assist but think the surround cameras might save the 20s.

    Any advice or suggestions?

I have the advanced parking system and don't use the corner cameras really. I use the front and back but the corner ones aren't great.

Unless you are dead set on a sunroof I would dump it. It adds a fair bit to your service costs and your £1200 could be spent on other things. Heated seats, lighting pack, storage pack, tailgate remore open/close. On my wife's a4 we got the tailgate opening feature and she really likes it. If you have kids then you need rear cup holders which I think only come as part of the storage pack. I like the advanced key features.
I have been in a white Avant BE-looks very smart.

I'm pretty sure power tailgate is standard on the A6 Avant, Heated seats would definitely be on the list for me.

As berlintaxi says the power tailgate is now standard on the Avant. Also to get the extra cupholders in the rear now requires the Convenience Pack which also includes blinds on the rear windows, reversible load map, the load area fixing kit and the through load facility

Yes avant has power tailgate. Very useful. Although mine only does remote open and Splash and I failed to get remote closure working in VCDS

Personally I'd also dump the sunroof especially if you plan to keep the car for any length of time.

Heated seats are a 'must' in my opinion (I know others might disagree) and in the kind of weather we are having right now they really do make a big difference. As the facelift cars get 4 zone climate control I expect that the cost of adding heated to the rears is also pretty reasonable - when i spec'd my car you had to buy 4 zone in order to be able to get heated rears but the heated rears were then just £150 or so I think.
Lighting pack nice, not sure what the storage pack gets you now... maybe the cubbies under the front seats and extra power outlets in the back?
A6 allroad BiTdi (MY14, July 2013 - DAB & power tailgate). Glacier white, tech pack (HDD Nav, colour DIS, Parking Plus), sports seats, 4 zone climate, heated seats front and rear, ambient lighting, 75L fuel tank, adaptive Bi Xenon headlights

No Storage Pack offered on the FL car. All now part of Convenience Pack. Really stupid especially if you are ordering a BE as the need for the blinds is largely negated by the inclusion of Privacy Glass, but if you want the any one of extra cupholders, extra 12v sockets or throughload facility you need to buy the pack. Wonder if Audi UK will see the error of their ways come May and the 2016 spec?

I've got a panoramic sunroof and love it (in fact, it was one of the spec options I specifically wanted when I looked for the car). What's people's concern on these - maintenance requirements??

Every (I think) 2 years Audi will want to relieve you of £160 for a Sunroof Service. Not something that any sales person seems to have mentioned when the customer was buying the car and came as a (nasty) shock to those with the panoramic roof when their car went in for a service

Interesting, I'll wait for that to happen! However, even if I buy the 'special' grease it's only about £60 and I'm happy to do it myself, doesn't look like more than 45 mins work at the maximum.
