Hi. I'm having problems with the central locking on my 3 door Polo.

When activating the key fob the alarm will go off and on without a problem when unlocking and locking.

However, the drivers door will unlock / pop up but the passenger door will not. Sometimes the passenger door will unlock / pop up but more often it will stay locked. To unlock the passenger door I have to press the unlock button on the inside of the drivers door and pull the inside handle of the passenger door twice for the lock to pop up and the door to then open. After this there is usually no problem locking all doors using the fob. I am operating the fob correctly and when double pressing the boot will unlock but problem is with passenger door.

Occasionally the drivers door will not unlock / pop up with a single or double press and I have to use the key in the barrel.

The other day when in the car I was operating the switch inside the car to try and pop up the passenger door lock but nothing happened at all. No click / noise. It was as if the switch was dead but the it started operating again. When I operate the switch inside I hear a click from the dashboard and wonder if this is normal.

I've had it to the garage, albeit not for a proper investigation, but have been told that no fault codes are showing.

Any help / advice would be appreciated. I'm not sure how the locking works on these cars and whether it uses a pump to pop the locks on the doors which could be failing.
