I need to change the thermostat on my 2000 1.8t and have been reading up about this and the general consensus seems to be sticking with original audi, I've been quoted £30 from audi for the thermostat plus have to buy the seal separately or £9 for thermostat and seal from a motor factors.

Whats your thoughts on original v aftermarket?

The general consensus is rarely wrong.

Genuine every time if only for the two year parts warranty.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.
