    Hey.

Having a problem with battery being drained while car is stood still. All lights are definitely off, except for the Hazard Light Switch, which is illuminated 24/7. I unplugged this switch and still have roughly the same drain. It's merely 3 small LED's it looks like inside the switch so shouldnt pull all that much.

There are no fault codes except an electric circuit failure on Left tail light because it is broken and will be changed soon(tm). The draw is 0.7 Amps. I can't get any significant drop in drain when pulling fuses. Anyone have any tips as to where to go further ?

    Much appreciated in advance.

3 leds are not going to pull anything, glovebox light maybe, try disconnecting the radio (behind),alternator connections (engine off) failing that keep pulling fuses.

You may already know this and I'm no expert but I understood if the hazard light remained lit it was to indicate a fault somewhere on wiring?

mine doesn't go off immediately on locking but goes off after a minute or so. Seems strange though if no faults showing... So the hazard staying on may draw energy but it's indicating something else also I think

Interesting. Might be so, i dont know.

The thing is though, after more troubleshooting i found something interesting.

Fuse 24 is where the drain is, when i pull that fuse and wait 30 seconds until hazard light switch is not lit anymore draw drops to 0.02A from 0.7A.

When i disconnect the battery and reconnect it, everything will work properly, hazard light switch goes off after 30 sec, key buttons working everytime(now they work maybe once every 50 clicks), but once i turn the ignition on and off again, the fault will reemerge.

When i pull the fuse and reinsert it, the fault will come back without turning ignition on unlike if i disconnect the battery.

    Im confused

On Golf Mk 6 I tracked this down to glove box light not extinguishing, 560ma, - thread Golf Mk 6 Flat Battery. Had to use mobile phone video in box to confirm. Was able to pad the switch behind the box to fix, might not apply to Audi, - or just disconnect!
