    Hello

    your help if you may

i have had the uprated sach clutch fitted last week and gradually since then i have had an issue with the clutch pedal not returning to its original position but this only happens after down changing ie slowing down for lights or to turn a corner etc

Now there are loads of posts about this on forums throughout the VAG scene but with no solution or ending how or what was causing the problem.

It has had everything new and been bled loads of times which i know is not the problem and i know ifs nothing my garage has done as they have fitted loads of these before while i have been there and including one the day after mine and that is perfect.

The garage has had this problem before once on a golf and the other been on another S3 and on those vehicles they did all the problem resolving issues on those including taking the new parts out and fitting yet more new parts, swapping the new clutches for yet more new clutches, and even putting the old standard clutches back in to which then the problem would stop, the only way they have cured it is by putting in both another gearbox which they knew were good, now the problem is they don't have another good box.

So maybe its the wear in the boxes which cant cope with the uprated clutch who knows but someone i'm hoping must know something ?

We have tried the gearbox end shim which is available from the dealers but again this also has made no difference.

If its any help, the last time I came across an issue like this was because the clutch kit wasnt the correct type according to chassis number. This was main dealer supplied, and there were two clutch types available for tbe same engine. As yours is an uprated clutch, it may be common to your modell type, but not to the flywheel / gearbox match of your car.
