Hello! I have some issues with the instrumet panel in my Audi a3 03 mod (8L) 1.8t

The instrument panel tend not to work, but works out sometimes. When it dos not work then the speedometer, RPM, fuel gauge and heat meter stands at 0. The pixel "Screen" in the Middle does not work either.
It seems that there is bad contact somewhere. The few times it works, then everything is ok. Everything is going as it should. Airbag light is on, that's all.

Anyone here know what the problem is?

May be worth trying to wiggle connectors to see if there is any obvious poor connection point, that is if you can gain enough room to do same.
These clusters do give problems, but some can be repaired,UK BBA Reman may be able to advise
Take care with any work being done as the immobiliser is also built in to this unit. !!!!!

I tried to push harder into the switch and then it worked. as soon as I let go then stopped it to work right away. Do you think I need to replace the switch/wiring or the instrument panel?

I expect it may be a faulty pin connection in the cluster (possibly soldered joint) maybe some expert can advise.
You probably know the colour of the faulty unit now.which may be a help if you are talking to repair shop.
