Trying to price a winter set on steel wheels, a German company emailed back to tell me that only VW make 16" steel wheels for an Alltrack. Can't see them giving up an order if it wasn't correct... Wheels from my ******* plus decent tyres are a shade under £800, gulp.. Anyone know if it's correct?

Don't reckon there's no alternative. After all it's a frequent topic over on briskoda, and checking wheelfitment.eu there's plenty of similar applications/donor vehicles where you could pick up a set of alloys that would fit or just widen the choice of steelies. I ran an Octavia Scout with 245/45 18s which fitted OK, so you don't even need to go small if the price is right. Check also Yeti wheels which should fit too.

I'm sure Duggy72 had an Alltrack, so he might reply to a PM.
