Just poking around back there due to damp again...
There is a cobra alarm bolted to inner arch looks standard fit?
There is a blue wire coming off it - it's split in 2(unless) it's 2 wires?
It/they aren't long enough to reach anywhere - tried joining them and nothing happened.
    Alarm works and lights flash.
Ends are bare where I tried joining them.
    Anyone any ideas?

    Hello Justin.

That isn't an alarm. It's Cobra parkmaster parking sensors. The two blue wires (they originally formed a loop) are are for calibrating the control box.
When you fit the unit you calibrate it by reversing 50cm from a wall. Put the car in reverse and after a few seconds the buzzer starts to beep. You then knock it out of reverse and cut the blue loop.
Whoever fitted it should have taped up the bare ends of the blue wires. I usually tuck the two ends back down the black plastic tubing...nice and neat.

    Jim.

    Thank you very much!
I joined them but didn't put it in reverse - will have to test if it's still ok.
As you say tape them up and poke them in the sleeve (have done this).
Was hoping they were why boot release on door doesn't work..
    Thanks again

I'm sure you will have but did you try the key switch on the door panel next to the switch?
