I have a 2007 2.0 TDCI A6. With my general trips to and from work I've been getting between 51-57MPG out of it.

In the last week or two, however, the MPG seems to have dropped a bit - now getting 48-51 and the average MPG readout seems to take longer to reach higher mpgs. E.g. it now stays around 30-40mpg for a longer time.

ANy ideas why? Bad fuel, winter/autumn weather?

How are you calculating your MPG - using the onboard readout?

Might be worth using brim>brim calcs if you want to compare MPG but you'll need to wait until we're back into the summer months to make an accurate comparison.

Likelihood is it's as whippy suggests - the cold(er) weather

Agree with the above, was getting 46pg according to DIS based on my 15 mile drive to/from work, this week in 10 degrees colder am getting 40, so a 15% drop...even after cleaning out my throttle body last weekend.

I normally do brim-to-brim and have never had less than 39MPG..but as use supermarket vouchers it has to be when tank's almost empty to fill 100l inc jerry cans.
