    Hello folks,

ive had my glowplug (curly worm) light on for a while now and have only just managed to get it read.

The error code is coming up as, " 4911 - P242a, Exhaust Gas Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 3 ".

    my question is,

1, where is this sensor located?.
2, if possible does anybody have the part number for this sensor?.
3, should this sensor not be mapped off when a dpf delete is carried out.?.

    Vehicle: 2011 A6 2L tdi s-line 170 cr.

Just out of interest, how did you get on at mot time with DPF delete?

I googled the fault code you've posted and it says that the sensor in question 'may prevent your DPF from completing a regen cycle'...so if you've had a delete it should, by all logic, have been mapped out

    Was you scan via VCDS?

Passed, because the dpf body hasn't been removed, it was cut open and gutted and welded back together. So to look at it, it looks like its still there.

I took it to a local mechanic and he found the error code via his snap-on device.

This is the temperature sensor G495.

its the first sensor on the DPF body from the turbo side look at ssp 420 page 53.

Don't get it confused with the Lambda sensor on the CAT.

    Google Audi SSP 420.

Its the audi self study programme for the 2.0 L common rail engine.

You most likely need to replace the sensor with a Squib to fake the reading so that error stop generating.

May I ask what your Basic Emissions Test (BET) results were with no Cat?

    Hi
I thought I'd add to this rather than start a new post.
Where is this sensor located on the passat b6? I've got the same error and same sensor.
Is there a part number you may have?
