    Hi all

The boot light doesn't work, I've been helped on here before to idetify the problem it's the boot light sensor. It was been damaged from water leaking from the rear jet washer. The wiper motor is also not working, I'm not to worried about that, as i can find the part and replace it but, I'm having difficulty finding the rear boot light sensor (not locating it, it's by the boot lock/latch) I need to find out what the part is called, or what needs replacing and where i can find it.

Will i have to replace the boot lock mechanism?

Not sure If I've explained this in the best way so if you have questions, I'll try to clarify.

Thanks for your help all comments welcome

I quote VW “The luggage compartment light switch is integrated in the tailgate lock and cannot be renewed individually. The entire rear lid lock must be renewed if the luggage compartment light switch is faulty” part number 1J6 827 505 B B41 £24.62
