    go for the CR engine from 2008 onwards, it's not bullet proof but much more reliable compared with the longitudinal PD engine...

    Which would mean you'd want an A4 B8/8K as the common rail engine is not available in the A4 B7/8E.

    I think for the £ & ball ache of doing swap you'd be better off buying car with what you require in the first place.

    It's not just source engine and swap, you'll encounter mounting issues, engine ECU swap, wiring looms, etc, etc.

    If you want a B7 chassis then buy a Seat Exeo, they're a B7 chassis but run a CR engine.

    Alot more car for your money too.

    My pump busted so what my choice on engines will seat exeo engine fit in and not have change any thing

    Not a notion, you'll have to change ECU's etc too as its a totally different engine.

    If its the oil pump problem then give Powermax in Cookstown, in the North a ring as they fix these with 1 day turnaround.
