I got my pump reset yesterday and I mentioned to the engineer that the car was hard to start when it was hot. I asked him to change the fuel temperature sensor but he told me the Octavia has a software issue and doesn't add fuel to a hot engine until it turns over faster than 250 RPM. He told me to find the no2 wire on the CTS and put a switch on it for starting. I'm not sure exactly what he meant, the car starts instantly when the CTS is unplugged. Anyone have any info on this problem, car is Octavia TDi with AGR engine. Thanks

cut into the wire for the cts and put a switch on the dash. operate switch to break wire to start, then close switch to resume normal running. failing that plan your journeys so you stay where you are going for a min of 4 hours to allow the car to cool down.

oh i don't know. 2 will be for the dash gauge, 2 for the ecu, so you want one for the ecu.

Thanks Z, I just had a quick look and no2 is a blue wire. Looks like very little room to solder. Could I safely cut and shrink wrap the wire?. I'm hopeless with electrics.
