I have an A7 Ultra (215bhp) being built next week. Anyone here already have one, care to share their experience of the car / engine? I am moving from 168bhp Skoda Superb - which is loaded and very spacious, but obviously has low badge kudos.

Worried about torque steer now and perhaps should have spent more for the Quattro.

With a week 42 build I am guessing I will get it early Nov?

Didn't know an A7 ultra existed. Guess you will be one of the first few on here with one. Is yours going to be a facelift model?

Yes a face lift version. It's a company car, so the new engine pushed all the right buttons from a BiK point of view. 122gkm - incredible really, particularly as bhp is up on the old model.

Getting brilliant black and the new SE Executive trim. Just folding mirrors and rear air bags added.

Very nice. Do you want to donate your new rear lights to me?

I'd rather have your 313bhp under the loud peddle!

How do these Ultras work then? Is this the version fitted with add blue Urea (Pigs pee) tank under the spare wheel. Nice car the A7, the wife drives a 313 very similar to M1tchy's, She's thinking of going down the A3 E-Tron route next time, Then I caught her speccing up a Sepang Blue RS7 on the 'puter. Lord knows what she'll get in the end. As long as she spends her own money not mine, I can't complain too much.

Pigs pee yes, but that's just to take one nasty out. Friction reduction is probably the biggest factor.

    The figures are worth digesting:

    Urban: 51.4
    Ext Urban: 65.7
    Combined: 60.1
    CO2 122g/km

Those numbers probably shame many superminis, but this is a 2 tonne 3.0 v6, that knocks on the door of 150mph, and 7.2 to 60.

Thanks for that info. Yes the figures do look very impressive indeed. The only complaint from some Mercedes owning friends in the USA is the charge made by the main agents for refilling and resetting the tank with add blue. It seems that they were charged over $300 which seems a bit steep for a product that can be bought for around 20 to 30 bucks a quart in the states (less if you know a trucking firm that buys the stuff in bulk). No doubt Audi will be charging a similar sum in the UK at the main agents. I'm told that VCDS can reset the level sensors. The only other thing that slightly concerns me is that this add blue seems to be quite corrosive. Not the best thing to spray into your exhaust or spill on either yourself or your shiny new and expensive motor car. However with a bit of common sense and PPE I'm sure that won't be too much of an issue.
