    Hi,
Is there a list of s/w versions for AMI/MMI and what they do/fix?

I've an Oct'08 A4 with AMI which quite happily supports my Ipod Classic or Ipod Touch, as well as 4GB SD cards. AFAICR, the AMI version I have is HW:01 SW:0210. Are there any updates for that, what do they provide and where can I get them?

By and large, I'm happy with the operation of the unit as it stands (barring the occasional 'Iniitalising AMI interface' reboot), but as I have 14,000 tracks on my Ipod, scrolling thru them - even at artist or album level - can take some time and can be distracting. Have Audi updated the software to help here, such as a search function whereby you could rotate thru an alphabetic dial to quickly navigate to a required artist etc?

    Thanks

Thanks - my German's a bit rusty (i.e. non-existent!) - is there an English version of this?

Also, the bin file in the zip is dated May08 - does that suggest the version I have installed is the latest?

    Cheers

The bin file is a firmware flash not sw but it will do no harm to run it

Its the only flash file for mmi 2g ami or can ami

I will have to look through my zug list for your current mmi sw version but it looks ok

just to ask as you have around the same number of songs on your Ipod as I have....do you find your AMI takes ages to load through certain menus? mine does, especially on the artist menu, I see the loading circle for ages before the next screen comes up, and sometimes the circle just disappears and goes back to the screen I was on.

As it never did this when I was using SD cards before, I presumed after having the AMI fitted it was just due to my Ipod having so many songs, but is something untoward here and abnormal that I could rectify? or is it normal behaviour?

Hi, as a postscript to the above which I still have (just retired so the current A4 will need to last me for some time yet), I have a few newish questions:

    a) I've got an Android phone (and an unlimited internet tariff) and would like to stream internet radio from my Android (Samsung Galaxy 3 mini) phone to the Audi sound system. The current BT profile on the MMI/AMI only seems to support phone, not media, audio - is there a third party add-on that could give me this ability? I googled and came up with the Tune2Air device - does anyone have experience of this unit - or similar - and is it compatible with the 4F0051510L cable I currently use to connect my ipod classic?

    b) More radically, I believe there may be units that completely replace my current radio/6 cd changer/DAB/MMI setup to give me a more up to date media system - any suggestions, experience etc would be appreciated.

    Thanks
