    Hi,

I have a 2011 (C6 not C7) Audi 2.0TDi Avant Special Edition and need to get some winter wheels / tyres as I'll be driving through Europe during winter.

I know that the recommended wheels are 17" 7J ET42 but have seen a set of alloys that are 17" 8J ET45 with 225 50 17 snow tyres already on.

Silly question but will the alloys be ok? I'm assuming the offset will just allow a better clearance of the callipers and the 8" width as opposed to 7" won't be a problem?

    Thanks for looking

    Mark

Don't see them as a problem. The stock 18'' alloys on mine are 8J anyway so width will be fine. Just bear in mind you may need spigot rings if the car they are off has the new wider centre bore of 66.6mm. Yours has 57.1mm centre bore.

As Neil says make sure the centre bore is correct, if they're 66.6mm you can bring this down to 57.1 using spigot rings.
