Hi all,

Took the plunge yesterday and ordered a new Golf Match 1.6 TDi with the DSG auto box in Tungsten Silver.

We were thinking a couple of months ago about a SE but was told to hang on as the Match model would be much better for kit.

It's going to be up to a 12 week wait as it's a factory order as we went for Park Assist option too.

Our current car, a Kia Venga auto petrol only does 28 av MPG so looking forward to hopefully nearly doubling that with the Golf.

To be honest, compared to the petrol MPG, any improvement would be welcome.

I can't seem to find a thread that relates to the 1.6/dsg average mpgs so if anyone would care to let me know what they are getting, I would be appreciative.

Look forward to posting more.....and for my new mk7 to arrive.

I picked my Mk7 Match 1.6TDi DSG up on the 23rd September, its only done about 400 miles but I am averaging 50.7 around town. No where near my previous Mk6 1.6Tdi Manual match but there is plenty of time yet.

My mk7 1.6tdi match with winter pack is in north shields in the VW compound should be at the dealer next wednesday im hoping to pick it up beginning of following week
