Classic car mag got me thinking. One article theme was the need to look after and rejuvenate rubber door seals eg cut down wind noise. On the A7 the seals are obviously critical and the thought was that maybe I should start looking after them. Car mag talked about using silicone grease. Any thoughts out there re little tlc on the seals to keep them in good order.

If you use grease won't that leave greasy marks all down the windows?

i use Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care. Works a treat and seems to prevent the perished look that the window seals seem to suffer from.

I use a silicone spray. WD40 do a silicone product which is different to the one people normally buy. I spray the seals before each winter. It help to stop the seals freezing the car door to the car body.
