Not to sure about tools he used, he done a cambelt on rs6 and b6 2.4 v6, but not a 3.0 v6, do you think its timing issue?

pressure in coolant and a misfire on one bank is indicative of a a head gasket failure. i would not be driving it anywhere. get the aa or whoever out or get it towed to him but for goodness sake don't drive it.
a misfire alone on one side would sound like the cam is out of timing, but the coolant pressure adds another dilema.

it could yes, but i doubt it, they bleed themselves. if it went in running correct, get on the blower to him and tell him you want it running right now. things do go wrong, crs do throw other faults whilst at garages but mechanics do also make mistakes. its how these mistakes are handled that count. tell him whats up and he should sort it out for you.
