    Hello Everyone,

I'm a newbie to the Forum so firstly let me introduce myself.

Hey, LOL I'm Willie from Penicuik which is located 10 miles south of Edinburgh.

Now that's over with, lets move onto the problem.....

I purchased a 2001 Audi S6 4.2 V8 Quattro a couple of weeks ago... All has perfect with the car until the past few days, Now the problem I have been experiencing has been after a drive and the car warm when turning it off then say going into the shops and coming back to it and trying to start it, the car will not start, All turns over perfectly fine but no fire... Then Ill leave it with the bonnet open for say 20-30 minutes and bang it comes back to life.

Has anyone else experienced such a problem with their car??

Any help whatsoever would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Willie.

    Hi Willie

search for those fault codes here Ross-Tech Wiki it will point you in the right direction. Youre better with dedicated scan tools and software for your car, generic readers dont always work properly. You need a scan with VCDS to get a better idea of where your problem lies. Look on this map for a member of this site with VCDS that might be close to you. VWAF User Location Map - VCDS - Google Maps
