Audi s3 park assist

[zu11y]

The parking sensors on my audi a3 are not working, checked all fuses and seem fine.

went into park assist via vcds and it wont let me change any coding and gives the error code rejected: error 31 request out of range.

Thanks for that chris, any idea where it is located, and when replacing it, is it a simple swap over or does it need coding?

You have Sportback going by the rear door control modules?

If so it's in the boot, on the right hand side behind the trim panels. There is a guide here - VW AUDI Forum - VWAF

Thats for a 3 door but on the Sportback there is another screw near where the seat latches into, guide is the same apart from that.

To stop any confusion try and get a control module which matches your current - 8P0 919 475 F

Unless you have a trailer module I wouldn't bother with any coding in the module but me being me, I would check it anyway.

i have seen a unit with the part number
8P0919475E

my unit has the same number but an 'f' instead of 'e'

Control modules have different features and some may or may not do what you want them to do. If I were you have a look on eBay.de and try and match yours.

Update to this, im sure this unit has been changed before as the s3 has 8 sensors and the unit is for 4, anyway spoke to the dealers and they informed me that the correct module for my car ends with 'm' should be here tomorrow, will fit and update here.

fitted the new unit and still the same, one long beep when i first put it into reverse and then nothing.

any ideas guys as the new unit cost me £145

update, changed the car to audi a3 3 door left hand drive, and it coded straight away, but only the rear sensors are working.
