    Hi, Ive just bought a kkl vag-com for 409.1 to use on my golf mk5 1.9 tdi. Does anyone know of any free software i can download to use this ?

    You can download VCDS-Lite from Ross-Tech it will work with your cable but not work your car

    The cable can't communicate with your cars ECU or other modules you need a full version of VCDS or you could use the cable to remap a Fiat

    Your car communicates with CAN not with K-Lines. The KKL wire you have only communicates by K-Line. VCDS-Lite only communicates by K-LIne.

    For you car, you need at a minimum the VCDS License with MicroCAN interface. Full VCDS - Full genuine Ross-Tech interface.
