The rear drivers side door remains locked no matter how many times the fob unlock is pressed.
VCDS (genuine) has come up with 0931 locking module for central locking;rear right (F223) 27-00 implausible signal
Also the 'measuring blocks' show the door as safe all the time while the others change when the fob is used.
I would rather find out what is wrong
before I start drilling holes in the door to release/remove the actuator.
Additional info- The plug to the door had a wire broken off the terminal in the bellows to the door (pink/yellow). It had been previously stripped back, wrapped with tape and jammed in against the connector in a previous ownership. It would work its way out and stop unlocking until I pushed it back in.
Could doing a proper repair be the problem or are there other options?
    Thanks

I think you answer the question yourself, not doing a proper repair has landed you in a nasty situation.

After 4 hrs trawling through posts on the forum I went for the following compilation based on the experiences of others
remove door card, start and rev engine to raise line voltage, assistant on the backseat banging inside the door in the lock area while I operated the lock/unlock switch in the driver's door.
After about 40 attempts of the switch, the lock surendered and the rod to the button worked
With the door unlocked and open the locking pin rod could be moved back and forth to free off any dirt or dried grease in that area of the mechanism.
All good and put back together VCDS could not find the 0931 fault, only showing locked or unlocked in the measuring blocks.
I guess that the 'implausible signal' must have meant the module was told to unlock but it didn't so giving the deadlock feedback which was not anticipated?

    All is now happy.

Had this failed, there is an excellent description with illustrations of how to overcome the deadlock by 9931stevem from 27.9.10 involving drilling 2 small holes in the right place!
