The passenger door hing as been making a little bit more noise than normal over the past month or two so I've greased it up but it made no difference. Today when the wife went into the shops I stayed outside and looked at the door. I found the bolts was loose and as the door was opening and closing the hing was moving. I tighten the bolts up and the noise has gone away.
Has anyone else had this or am I just unlucky

When I bought my A6 ('11 plate, 3 yrs old at time of purchase) about 6 months ago, I found that the bolts for the drivers door hinge were loose, tightened up & been fine ever since, all other door hinge bolts were fine (physically checked that they were torqued up)
No evidence that the doors been off previously to suggest anything , just going to keep an eye on it .....

The 4F A6 was not as well built as the previous models with many build quality issues.

It's a 11 plate and I got it new ( well ex demo ) so I know it's never had any repair done.
just find it odd that bolts would work loose and now think what else hasn't been tighten correctly

I never knew that was this because they was built else where or was there just problems with the design

It is a lighter design made to cost less to produce, all manufacturers are pulling money and weight out of their designs to increase profits and reduce Co2 emissions.
