Golf r delivery dates.

Hi can anyone spread any light on build weeks/model years. I ordered a golf R a month ago i was quoted 22 week wait for factory build expecting it in september. I have been eagerly checking on line for a build week number but it still says order with factory not scheduled. My dealer is now telling me that it will fall into 2016 model year build and thats why it hasnt been scheduled yet? When does 2016 model year begin? The dealer does not seem to know? Hope someone can help thanks.

I'm sure your dealer does know when model year 2016 builds start as they will have details of changes such as the introduction of the Generation II MIB ( Satnav/ mediia units)

Model year 2016 starts from build week 22.....

In my recent experience, If the dealer wont give you any information, itis very likely bad news.

Unfortunately it's a process that tries your patience... it can be better for your stress levels if you don't try to follow its progress too closely.

my last order was 14 weeks from the day of order to the car arriving at the dealer but it was a full 7 weeks before it'd been given a build date!

Thanks for the replies, dealer told me in the week its set for build week 6 next year ???? surely this cant be right that would make it the best part of 12 months from order to delivery ???? seriously thinking about cancelling my order and taking my business elsewhere.
