Hi, I have just got an audi a4 tdi sport b6, and the bonnet eont shut down and stay shut, any help would be great

make sure the release handle is pushed fully forwards.

The handle isnt doing anything when I pull or push it back

the cable is probably jammed in the release position, thus not allowing the lock to close and hold the bonnet down.

Any ideas on how to fix it please

the cable goe to the bonnet lock, so you need to go there and see whats happening. is it jammed open or not. if so, move the catch to the lock position, lubricate it, work it back and forth and see if it frees off.

Tried that with wd40 but still won't shut do I need to just try an attach the cable again?

if it won't shut without the cable it definately won't shut if you connect it. however, with the cable connected it will make life easier if it does decide to start working again.
