Central Locking

Can anyone help, my Mark IV golf 1.6 Match central locking has stopped working.
I replaced a rear light bulb and although this was successful the central locking didn't work thereafter! (How many Grumpys does it take to change a light bulb?). Also, the boot interior light has gone on the blink.
Can anyone provide some assistance?

how did you get on with responses to your question? Hope you got it fixed allready. I have similar problem with my MK4 si golf and wondered if you know of any tips that people may have posted you or know of any other sites i could turn to.

My nearside rear passenger door solienoid has stopped working. So cant lock/unlock the door. So the doos is locked shut permentley. i have removed the outer door pannel and exposed the locking mechanisms and removed the seats to gain access but cant get to the solienoid to get it removed and hopefully open the door. If you know of any tips or where i may ask somebody then you help would be very much apreciated.
