    Hi all has anyone had their gearbox ecu repaired by one of the companies that say they can repair/refurbish them, if so have you had any problems since

    Hi had the same problem along with stuck in sport mode and lack of reverse. Used the below link took car to him and seemed very knowledgable, good price and touch wood it's been spot on since.

    Cheers for the info I have spoke to this guy. He does seem to know what hes talking about has anyone else used one of these companies to do a repair on their ecu.

    A bit more info would help? fwd/quattro? Have you had the car scanned for faults?

    Cant scan atm the car has no engine in and the batery has been flat for years lol im in the process of doing the engine but I know this fault was there when the turbo went so its on my list to repair its a 2.0 tdi cvt fwd my vcds has been delivered today from ross tech so it will be scanned at some point once the engine is back up and running

    Its deffo ecu fault as I had it checked 5 years ago but the fault was intermittent so I used to still drive it. But its been parked up now for 4.5 years
