I can't remember the fitment for this when I had my front screen replaced.

Best speaking to a windscreen specialist (like autoglass) and if you can visit a local depot they may well be able to reapply it for you with the stuff they use. I'd not be using anything that dries brittle as may damage windscreen

Or ask your local dealership what they do/recommend

IME, some main dealers will write the screen off, and recommend a new one is fitted. I've also helped a few people after they were told the same by Autowhatstheirname.

There are two scenarios here, possibly three/four.

    1. Which type of fitting do you have? Is it just a boss for the RV mirror? If it is, both contact surfaces need cleaning and an appropriate adhesive used. I've used a Loctite (2k) product for years and whilst some retail shops sell other brands/products, IMHO, there is no rival to Loctite. Your problem will be that it is industry/application specific and only available to the trade. It is also VERY expensive to buy for one hit.

    2. If your screen has a rain sensor, the 'boss' will be a metal ring and this will need to be bonded with an automotive grade PUR adhesive. It's two stages; first to position and bond, and then must be left for 12-24 hours. Stage two would be to assemble the mirror/sensor etc (a new sensor gel pad might also be needed).

    3. If the mirror has come off with a chunk of glass with it, it can be fixed but not a DIY job IMO.

    4. Some aftermarket replacement screens are made very cheaply and part of this cheapness is to stick the mirror brackets on with a double sided tape (it dries like concrete and will fall off in time). A lot of careful cleaning and chipping away is needed before referring to one of the above.
