Getting loading errors with the NAV DVD on my 2006 A4, with RNS-E, and sure enough the disc looks a bit marked round the edges. Thought I'd be smart, clone it to ISO on the PC, re-burn a copy back and job done. However, it's so bad the PC can't even read it right.

According to settings, the SW version of the RNS-E is 0500, HW is "H72".

A mate has the 2014 disc he got off ebay, was wondering if it would be OK to get one of them and put that in its place, or will it cause me any issues with firmware etc, will it upgrade the software in the head unit or cause me any needing-a-dealer-to-reset grief, anything like that?

Looks very much like the software on his is newer then, but 0650 it sounds like I need anyway as I want to get AUX enabled and from what I read I need 0650. Where do I go from here, safe to go with the 2014?

(Bit new to this, just picked up the A4 yesterday - nice, apart from the vibration from 50mph+... to the garage tomorrow..!)

Cheers
