High mileage 3.0 tdi

I'm thinking of buying a 2006 1 owner 3.0 tdi with 125,000 miles and fsh.

Am I crazy?

I know old diesels used to run forever, but ive read that's not the case with some modern diesels.

I had a golf 2.0 tdi as a company car in 2005 and that was reliable for the 4 years I had it. It was worked hard too.

How reliable is the 3.0 tdi at high mileage if properly maintained?

Worn out piezeo injectors are the most likely point of failure on this year/mileage.
Symptom is white/blue smoke at prolonged idle when hot.
Allow £1000 for new ones, gaskets etc.... if you do it yourself, Nearly double that from the dealer.

Not crazy if the price is right.
Bought my 2006 Allroad, same engine I assume, with 117K on the clock. Jut past 150k now and no problems.
