    Hi folks,

Just received a 14 plate A5 Cabrio courtesy car whilst my 5 day old A6 Ultra is in getting its gearbox fixed.

Is it possible to have the hood down but lock the doors using the key fob without the alarm going off?

    Yes.

My A4 B6 also had a perimeter sensor that triggered the alarm if you stuck your hand inside with the roof down when the alarm was armed. I assume the A5 is the same but I've never checked.
