    Hi,
I owe an 2006 Audi A4 2.0 TDI with manual gearbox.

I change gearbox oil regularly, however on cold weather (this morning -10 C) I have hard time to change gears, especially when in turn on the car and I try to put the car on 1st or 2nd gear. When weather is warmer this issue does not persist.

Any idea why is this happening? Is there a way water/ice to get into the gearbox handle so it prevents the handle from moving etc?

    Thank you.

Thanks portvechios, but I really have to use force in the morning to make the gearbox handle move (even from neutral right possition to left)
I had other cars but this is different - I am having the feeling the handle itself is frozen rather than the gearbox....

Pff. You should try driving a 21 year old VW transporter with the dog-leg 5 speed box in cold weather. 1st to 2nd to 3rd has to be done veeeeery slooooowly until the box has warmed up... unless you want to end up trashing the syncros
