Droning noise whilst driving

Hi All

I have droning noise whilst driving at any speed. Clearly audible. It went to Audi for MOT last week and the lower front arms were changed on both sides. I had the MOT protection so saved a wad of cash! I'm going back this week to for a door adjustment and will mention this, any ideas what it might be? Wasn't there before the MOT. Sline 06.

Droning could be tyres, or the bearings are shot.

Does the noise change at all with speed, or when you turn the steering wheel?

I thought this was the issue too but why now, I think they did say something about the rear tyres sidewall out of shape slightly.

woodenspatulas - it's there constantly no matter what the speed. Doesn't seem to change with speed.

There are lots of threads about noise and tyre wear on the forum.
if your tyres are directional then swooping from front to back doesn't help.
if asymmetrical then swop from rear left to front right and rear right to front left and try that.
I buy tyres that are asymmetrical so can swap as above.
Seems to ease the problem but low profile are always noisier.
maybe a 4 wheel alignment check and adjust may help the rears?
