It's not the worst job in the world to remove...but I made a kit to do it in place by only disconnecting the turbo and sensors. When u take into consideration the price of a new dpf it's well worth it..each one ave done the ash mass is practically zero so I had to run the program for dpf replacement.

Yes just disconnected it from the turbo and the centre section exhaust.using my home made tool to block of the turbo!! I then spray some cleaning agent down the dpf and left for a couple hours then steam cleaned it(also remove all sensors )rebuild then had to run program for replacing dpf due to the ash mash being so low.the last one was over a year ago and is still running fine!customer was over the moon as had saved thousands that a main Audi dealer was wnt to charge!! I was well rewarded for doing such a good job !!! Their is also a spray that u can by from wurth that gets sprayed down the temp sensor hole..but it's over £150 and I have only seen it work on one occasions when the ash mass wasn't that high!!!
