    Hi guys,

    Ive bought an a4 b5 2.5 tdi quattro for my mrs birthday. I took a peice out of the sump today with the jack and need a replacement by friday (Bday)

    Only new one i can find is from poland and will take a week to ship. I want to try and find one from a breakers but dont want to end up with one from a different engine code that doesnt fit.

    Can anybody help reg is T473 XDE

    Should be on a sticker in the spare wheel well if it's anything like mine.

    call dealer, give reg and money, get new sump.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    thanks for the contrustive comments.
    spoken to 4 motor factors that do not stock it. Can get one delivered but will be a week.
    quicker and cheaper the get one from a breakers, but want to make sure there are not different shape/sizes for different engine codes.

    a factors won't do one, a main dealer would get one for the next day. a breaker may have one, but i don't know if there are different part numbers between engine codes, probably there is, i just don't know. if i need a vag sump i just call the dealer in aberwyswyth and its here the next day.

    T plate means it's 1999 (unless it was registered late, or it's a private plate) but there was a revision in 1999 so that may dictate which engine you have.

    It'll either be an AFB or an AKN.
