Quick update..
Turns out when the main beam comes on after approx 40 seconds or so the bulb comes on, seems to go very bright, go normal again...and then go out altogether and error message comes up on dash saying bulb has failed.
After quick search on YouTube I removed both head lights and fitted new bulbs... Job took 40 mins, went out for about 45 mins with main beam on and all seems ok.
I just need to out later tonight when it's dark and pull up to a wall and check what the beam patterns look like.
Hopefully the jobs a good un!

I spent £12 for 2 x D2S bulbs 2 years ago.
They are fine and I am quite fussy.
They are now only £6.75 - delivered per pair!

I have been on several sites and have seen the DS3 bulbs for my car -4800-8000k from about £20-£50. I'm pretty disappointed that Audi charge so much... However.. I like things original and have bought original bulbs again from EBay from a chap who
has fitted "upgraded" bulbs.
I have now become a master at fitting bulbs and have now replaced both bulbs in 20 mins.:-)
I was out last night walking my mutt and noticed strange lights coming out of the garage - was an A5 with lights that looked very green...every man to himself, it is quit amazing what you can buy nowadays :-)
