My fuel gauge will just randomly stop moving (usually just above 1/2 and just above 1/4). I filled it up last night from just above 1/4 and it went to just under 1/2 and then when I came to use it this morning was up at 3/4.

I've pulled fuses 15 and 28 and started the ignition and then turned off and replaced and it fixes the problem but then it comes back again pretty quickly. What do I need to fiddle with or replace?

I dont know if this will work on this vehicle, but, it was possible to earth out the feed to the tank sender and the needle would deflect to either 1/1 or zero. This generally proved the gauge to be working okay. You would need to cycle the ignition each time you check. If okay tnen most likely sender issue.
