The standard S-line alloys are 18" 5-twin spokes so it shouldn't be a problem but replicas are generally pretty pants and you will have to tell your insurer if you fit non-OEM wheels to your car.

i've generally found that it's very nearly as cheap to buy the genuine article used from German eBay or forums like these as it is to buy replicas.

if you REALLY want replicas then the only ones to get are WSP Italy. They are officially pattern parts like the brake pads and exhausts that you get for cars. They are certified as replacements for the OEM wheels and WSP Italy are very keen to tell you all about how they are not replicas but replacement parts on their website. And they're a lot cheaper than the genuine article.

Nothing will trash the residual value harder than a set of aftermarket wheels, apart from matt black vinyl wrap perhaps. What is this fascination with Rotor Wheels? It takes a svelt, stylish executive car and turns it into Huggy Bears pimpmobile

If you read the article , you will read that i want to run 18 wheels with winter tyres, if you have ever spent any time driving in snow and ice , you would know that 20 wheels and rubber bands are as much good as a chocolate fire guard.
the reason for the rotor style wheel would look similar to the 20 original ones.

Maybe, but there's no suggestion that the OP is looking to sell his car either with or without original wheels.

My view is if you're happy to run around on aftermarket wheels and the wheel/tyre combo costs the same or less than replacing the original tyres - why not? If your car is on a PCP then you can refit the originals if returning the car. The other set can be sold or reused perhaps for winter use. That's what I did although I've retained the car and not returned it.

I'm not suggesting that replicas are good (I'd rather buy OE or aftermarket from an OEM), but if you like the look, they're safe and you've disclosed it it your insurers I don't see a problem

Thats why i ask the question if any one has had any experience with replica wheels, as you know with winter tyres they have a reduced speed rating so i would not be high speed cruising or doing a track day. This car i will keep for at least 5 years, if it behaves itself, my previous car was 9 years old ,when i replaced it with this one, and i had a spare set of winter wheels and tyres which went on in december and came off in march, we get a bit of snow up north, winter tyres just work so much better in cold wet weather anyway.
As i will probably keep this for a while , i will look on ebay. de as wja96 suggested and have some sent over.

OK, I had very little better to do while I wait for my pizza to cook, so I had a quick look and WSP do the homologated Rotor wheel in 17, 18, 19 and 20 inch versions. All the rim diameters are available in the 66.6mm centre bore required and the correct 5x112mm bolt circle (PCD). I am not sure what the OEM offset (ET) is but I reckon 43 should be perfect. WSP call the rotor "Giasone".

typing WSP Giasone ET43 into ebay.co.uk with worldwide and description search turned on yielded returns on 17-20" sizes but as the OP wanted 18" I picked these as the cheapest ones with the traditional Titan finish and polished edge.

    Cerchi in lega WSP Italy W567 Giasone MGMPolished 7.5x18 5x112 ET43Audi Q5 S4 S6 | eBay

Also in 17" which should clear the brakes on the S-line.

they're not £500 a set, but they are OEM quality and the finish won't come off after 1 winter. You can also get a nice simple silver finish that also works well.

19" wheels are only about £15 each more and 20" are about another £25 on top of that.

    have fun!

I have run replica rotors on my a4 for a year, I recently went down a monster pothole, trashed the tyre, small dent in the rim, otherwise ok,recently I had a puncture repaired on the wifes' cc, genuine turbine pattern, guess what? buckled, checked the rest, another one buckled, so my conclusion based on experience is that replicas can be as good if not better than some oe wheels. Hope this helps.
