2.0 TFSI BWA Idle problem

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my 06 A3 S-line 2.0 TFSI. BWA engine code.

Recently when idling it will either slowly build up the revs anywhere up til about 2krpm then drop back down, and repeat.

Other times, it will sit around normal idle revs (about 800 rpm) but with a miss/lumpy tickover.

Sometimes it idles fine but usually plays up again sooner or later.

The car does drive fine, boosts fine also and has no flat spots that I've noticed. I haven't noticed a change in MPG.

But I am concerned that it might not be fuelling perfectly and I don't want to harm the engine. There is no engine management light showing.

Can anyone help?
