    Hi folks!
Just bought a 3 year old low mileage 1.4 TSI DSG here in Cyprus where I live. The service book is in Greek and has no stamps but the previous owner gave all receipts for work undertaken.

I have searched the forum but can find no mention of recommended service schedules. Can any one point me towards this information please? It is my intention to do all the oils; filters brakes etc myself and use the dealer for stuff beyond my capabilities.

By the way, hello! This is my first post although I have been lurking for a week or more.

    Welcome to the forum.

    What's the mileage?

The service interval is normally set when the vehicle has its PDI and is recorded on the Data Sticker (Options Sticker). The data sticker (options sticker) on the first page of the service schedule has one half of this sticker the other half is on the boot floor next to the spare wheel well.

    Check what the MFD says.

    This can be:

    QG1 - Service interval prolongation
QG2 - No possibility of activating service interval prolongation
QG3 - Without service interval prolongation

Mine is QG1 10k/12 months which ever comes first.

Hi and welcome. I would get the cam chain and tensioner looked at. If you have read the post about 1.4 engine reliability a couple of posts down. Well worth doing as the cam chain jumping can cost you an engine.

Hi and thank you for the welcome. The "mileage" is 21,200 Km. There is absolutely nothing at all in the service book - just totally blank pages and and unused Castrol/VW sticker - again all blank and in Greek.

The label in the boot is there and it is in two parts, I have studied them and the figures below just do not appear anywhere:-
    QG1 - Service interval prolongation
QG2 - No possibility of activating service interval prolongation
QG3 - Without service interval prolongation

I am now going to attach (well, am going to try) two images of those labels in the boot to see if anyone can make sense of it.

    QG1 - Service interval prolongation

Is on that sticker the same as mine.

If you want to know what all the other option codes are type them into VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda Option Codes Decoder. These Option Codes will tell you what was fitted to the vehicle when it came from the factory.
